Ughhh I fell off my skateboard AGAIN. effing hell. I'm really not nearly as bummed and sad as I was the first time when it happened, except that I got this weird rip in my jeans. It's right under the knee, a rip in the shape of a backwards "F". It just looks really weird. I'll need to repair it, need to get denim thread. Hahaha it's actually kinda funny, though. After I got up and looked at my knees the first thing I saw was the rip and I was really sad. Hahaha I didn't even know I was bleeding yet, because it wasn't a lot of blood and didn't go through my jeans. Except when I got back and took them off, I saw that I had bled and scraped my knee. Gyahh I should have just left the blood on my jeans, but then I got some water on it and tried to soak some of the blood out. Now dried, the blood ruined the jeans colour in that spot. rawr.

I kinda really wanted this one, then Threadless has a sale, and now it's sold out in my sizeeee. Noooooo! :( But whatever. It looks better on guys. I'd want a guy friend to have this shirt. Except it's all sold out in guys' sizes. Double sadface.

Maybe I won't buy any more threadless tees.. Since they kicked out American Apparel and started making their own cotton tees. I don't like their own brand tees. The neck collar part is skinny and I don't think that looks good. And the cotton feels kinda thin and easy to stretch out. But then along with their own tees they got new printing styles: belt prints, puff ink, metallic inks, and more stuff. Prices have up'ed a bit, but if they still printed on AA tees, I would no doubt REALLY have too many t-shirts. Haha. Good thing I bought like 7 or 8 tees while they were still printing on AA.

Darn, Chip & Pepper has a 50% off sale going on, for a while now, it seems, all the normal sizes are gone. =[ Never found a place that carries Chip & Pepper, but the quality is very good, and a bit more heavy denim weight than Citizens of Humanity, a more popular designer jean brand. Best of craigslist is entertaining. Everyone else watches video, plays games, or facebooks, but I read. haha. I don't even youtube. I barely youtube. If I want to catch up on viral videos, I'll go over to my guy friend's dorm and he'll show me the best ones. I need to write my paper, study Finska och Svenska, and nihongo. Gosh, Japanese is hard. plain form, past tense of that, conjugating adjectives. particles and blah. Too much stuff. Next quarter I'm not going to take Japanese, and instead resume German. But I'll try to continue learning Japanese on my own, though. So next quarter I'll be learning 4 languages. FOUR! =DD German, Japanese, Finnish, and Swedish. yeeeah. beasting.

Okay, I really don't know how this person got this album in December, but I was just googling the "Nine Destinies and a Downfall" album and found a blog with a dl to this album. Okay, my review:

Yay! Another new favourite album! =D
I like Ailyn's voice is much more than any of the other singers, though I haven't heard all Sirenia's previous albums yet. Her voice is stronger and isn't as monotone, I guess as Monika Pederson's in the 2007 album "Nine Destinies and a Downfall", though she still has a tiny bit of a Spanish accent. The Path to Decay is a pretty solid new single. Lost In Life can easily fit into mainstream rock, until the choir hits and you're reminded that this is metal. I don't really like this track because it's rather upbeat for lyrics "We are lost in this life. We've been living a lie." Then the rest of the songs are quite good, except I don't think the lyrics are that good, with some simple rhymes: "The lights seem to fade...to pass away..I can see them getting weaker everyday" in The Lucid Door. Seems kinda pop-ish. Nevertheless, a new album to put on repeat. Because it's too short! And I'm liking it more and more with more listens. I kind of want a Sirenia band t-shirt. xD

So what is there to protest at this point, exactly? That BART is determined to exterminate, discriminate against minorities? That the officer has been cleared of wrongdoing? The BART cops were reacting to a brawl among thugs at two am, there was some kind of incident and one of the thugs died, and everyone is sorry it happened. Do these protesters want someone swinging from a telephone pole, or what? An investigation is going on, the truth will emerge. The problem is, when a black is violently killed in a way other than the usual method, conspiracy and other grievances are vented, it acts as a lightning rod that often sets the stage for more violence, riots, and excesses, which is then ascribed to the uncaring and racist society at large.

It's been demonstrated once again for all to see. They're their own worse enemies. Talk about shooting oneself in the foot. Get a clue and act like respectful citizens and see if anything changes. What began as a righteous demonstration of support, once again plunged rapidly into nothing more than a mob free-for-all bent on indescriminant destruction under guise of something honorable. Are they fooling themselves? If so, no one else is fooled. It's just another over-the-top demonstration of the self-prerpetuating victim mentality of this ilk of our community. Just think how nice Oakland would be if everyone acted like an adult, was respectful of others, and acted with dignity and self restraint. One can have a dream....

I just got back to school about 3 uhr ago. Klassen beginnen wieder am Montag, so will blog less as expected. Also because "Let's Bounce" is the next Saturday, and my being in the DJ club here at UCSD will be helping out and stuff. But I've uploaded a few other things from that HP laptop I was using at home before I got my new laptop, so I'll post those in the coming days. So many things to do. And so much to do during break, too, and I didn't even get to do everything I wanted. Didn't get to hang out with some friends because I had to work, and then I didn't get to make prints. GYAHHS. I took some pictures from November that are quite nice, but I only had enough time to make a few prints. The rest I'll print next time when I go back home, in March. Dyahh that sucks, pictures I took in Nov won't see them til March. mehh.

Together As One ::: the last stop of Armin's Armin Only: Imagine Tour
Massive 9hr set! effing gyahhs! At the LA Sport Arena.
But too complicated to go down to LA with all my stuff and find a place to stay and then to go back down to school from there. =[

gawwwsh. NYE/NY's feels so cruddy/boring here because as I am writing this people are having hella fun at TAO09. AHHHHKKK gyahhs. Painful. I mean, at least I got to go to the Lovefest Afterparty and see Armin play there, but this, this is epic. 9 hour set. A fireworks show, massive countdown. AHHHHS omg.

If you don't understand what I (and you, most likely) are(/have) missing(/missed) out on, watch THIS, and you will. I don't want to embed it here because the quality gets bad and it's smaller. Armin Only is not just a 9hr dj-set, it includes live performances! Such as this intro part with Armin's brother Eller van Buuren playing the electric guitar (and Eller has his own band, I think). Total holy f.

I really want the Armin Only DVD.

Oh yeah, I changed my blog title. "was sie mag" is German for "what she likes". But then I thought for people who don't know that in German the "w" is pronounced as an english "v" and the "a" is a long "a", it would seem a little weird.

So now it's ILLALLA. which is Finnish for "in the evening". I wanted to write "in the night" — yöllä. But then people would read that in their minds as "yolla" because they don't know that the "y" in Finnish is a sort of "u" like the "ü" auf deutsch. Haha yeah, so I settled on ILLALLA, because it is just such a cool word to say. =D

Until I learn an even cooler Finnish word,
